Eggy + New beds

A new addition to my decore, which I won from the party games at the small party we had with our Chinese DDP members. I'm supposed to break open the top, and water it till a plant grows out, but I like it better the way it is. I'd probably kill the plant anyway.

New Beds! huzzah, when the news first reached us that new beds were comming a lot if the group got excited, many of us didn't like the original beds, since they were very hard, and not to mention David had accidentaly broke his and later Christine's bed when she and several other people in the group watched some Korean Drama in her room... which Edward later made even worse.

Unfortunatly the beds were not the great thing we hopped for. as you can see they are very low to the ground, which destroys the storage space below them. since I have the largest luggage bags, I had a hard time trying to figure out where to relocate the behemoth, dark blue luggage cases. under my desk was my first idea, and it worked well, one fit almost right in underneth. I don't really stick my legs under there when I sit at my desk anyway.

the last spot was kinda tricky, I couldn't place it over my dresser like Cynthia did (or should I say, asked me to put it there for her) I later found this... rather interesting location. david told me the luggage might fit well inside the dresser, but I haven't bothered to take it down yet. the luggage seems rather stable. I can shake it quite a bit and it doesn't remotly look like it will fall, but I should give putting it inside the dresser a chance.

Also, they didn not change the matresses :(

The missing photo, and more

Right, so this is to add on that one photo that did not load because of Blogger's 4-picture-rule. Then I thought, why not add some more? So I did. Enjoy!

That missing photo. From the 104th Anniversary, this photo was takend during the Fall presentation.

On May 20th, we went boating on the West Lake. Only a couple of us actually rowed the boat. This is a shot that was taken when I was taking a break, :P

Another shot. I think it's a bit obvious that it's been Photoshop-ed. Meh.

And lastly, of the 4 Chinese painting classes that I've taken here, this is the only picture that I've kept so far. It's of a pine branch (the left side) and of blossoms (the right side). I didn't realize that I had so much ink in my brush when I was doing that first stroke on the blossom branch.

Zijingang Campus (紫金港校区)

These were also taken during the 109th Anniversary, but since Blogger can only upload 4 pictures at a time, I figured that I might as well title it differently.

A large rock. Haha, it's one of the two by the front gate.

The protruding building is ontop of the library serves as office space for administrators. Students don't go in there apparently.

I really like how this picture turned out. It's a student center where students can hold events. Other than that, students don't go in there.

This is the courtyard in the international student building(翠柏楼; Cuibai Building is the name) that we're suppose to be staying at for the remaining 2 years. Not bad. But the rooms are horrendous I think. Well, the bathroom is at least - dark and dingy with no toilet. All the girls are planning to install one, I just hope that we can. Guys didn't seem to notice, :P

104th Anniversary of Zhejiang University

The theme of this show was the 4 seasons of the year: spring, summer, fall, and winter.

Spring.

Spring again (see the pattern? Flowers in the corner represent...)

Summer.

Summer again.

I didn't turn on the flash, so all the other pictures that I took turned out pretty bad. As well, my camera died later on. So on Fall or Winter pictures, sorry.

Hangzhou (杭州城市)

Doesn't this look nice? Too bad it's usually very crowded.

A nearby hill and an old-styled home - this is what people think about when they think of China.

Doesn't the red building in the back look cool?

A bridge.

Chinese paintings

Here are some of the Chinese paintings we've been doing in our friday class. I plan on keeping mine and Cynthia's, since she only wants to toss them, same with everyone else.

Above: week 3 - bird and bamboo (Cynthia's on top, mine below) Cynthia says the stuff we do is actually quite advanced, her painting looks alright, but the teacher said my bird was better (followed what the example was more, i still think her painting overall is better)

Week 2: Birds and plant - yes I know they're all in a row, with a single leader bird commanding them, but they were darn hard to do.

Week 1: I wasn't there for the first class (was sick), but apparently they did crabs. no examples to show, I think David has one on his wall. Posted by Picasa
