Home sweet home, I'm back. Finally.
I have to say that it feels a bit weird, but for the most part, I'm happy. FOOD that I love to eat. Opening late Christmas presents are always a plus of course. But the thing I love the most is that we finally have a BREAK.
God, it feels like forever since the last time we've had a break. Yeah, we had "breaks" during the fall semester, but can you really call it a break when you have projects, homework, and tests to study/do during said break? I know I can't. Not only did we have to go to class on Christmas Day, but for New Years, yeah we had New Year's off, and the next 2 days off as well, but then we had to go to school on the Saturday and Sunday before it to make up for lost class time. Not cool at all. In fact, it was like no break that time. A 7-day school-week. Just how I wanted to end my year.
Chinese students are very hard working, and of course, it's to be expected in one of China's top universities. I was definitely not cut out for it. Going through that semester was at times, especially near the end, PAINFUL. Ironically, I'm still going to continue in this program for at least another semester. I hope to God that it's better than the last.
Yeah, the rantings of a stressed-out maniac.
