All across North America, there is a battle for dominance over the cola king. The two contenders? Pespi Cola, a brand that has taken hold of American youth and Coca-Cola, a brand with history extending beyond WWI. In Vancouver, it's fair to say that the winner of these two contenders is quite obvious: not only does Pepsi align itself with Hollywood's famous, but most school vending machines sell this soft drink as well. Coca-cola, it would seem, had not taken root in the youth of today as it had with yesterday's youth. But having lived in China, is it the same here?
Not even close.
Having just visited Shanghai, I took these pictures along Nanjing Rd, one of the biggest shopping streets in Shanghai. I think the winner here speaks for itself.
