New room (I)

So a tour of my new room? Ok.

You're walking through the corridor that leads to my room.

You arrive at the room 109. That just happens to be my room.

Of course, you can't just walk in, so in this case, we'll assume that I've opened the door.

Moving Time

Several days ago we finnaly moved into the Zijinggang campus, where we'll be staying for the next two years. Got myself all packed with just 2 extra containers of stuff. All of what I packed is pictured pictured below.

moving me in was pretty easy, other people had troubles, such as some people had missing desks/broken desks/old beds(all our rooms were supposed to have new beds, but since they left the rooms open another person living here just came in and took one). Eryl probably had the biggest problem, since the room she was already assigned had someone living in it. so she was put in a different room for free till he was moved out and they cleaned up the room. My room had it's problems though, but nothing super bad, my breaker was off so my room had no power for a bit, but that was solved easily. My bathroom was dirty as hell, so I doused it with cleaners and other chemicals, so now it's much better. So far my balcony light doesn't work, neither does the fan on the cieling. I've asked the front desk, they've taken my name down, but seeing as I just saw the repair guy walk past and fix the fan in the room next to mine, then leave. I'm probably going to have to complain every day or something till it's done.

My room is on the first floor, and you can see my flag from the lobby, pretty nice. Also I had a giant wad of cash I took out from the bank, never fear though, this is for the year rent. so it's going to something I need to pay for mom & dad. It's not going to get squandered on some shiney object or anything.

My Birthday!! (Part II)

Right, so after arriving at Partyworld, we sang and we ate. We also grabbed waayyyy too many cups of drinks. I think we had 30 or more cups of drinks that were completely left untouched. Ah well. Our bad? Haha, anyways, after a couple hours of singing, everyone decided to present me with presents and cake. Here are pictures of cake.

Did I mention that there were 3? Haha, we only managed to finish 2, the cheesecake and the chocolate mousse one (correct me if I'm wrong here, I can't remember for sure). The last one we ate practically (but not quite) a week later. Still excellent though.

Cheesecake. Mmm, it was soooooo good! The best of the 3.

The rasberry-filled cake. This one we had to leave for later.

Lastly, the chocolate mousse one.

Thanks you guys! Awesome way to spend my 19th birthday!

My Birthday!!

Alrighty, so it's been over half a month since my birthday and I haven't posted any pictures until now. Sorry, :) Unfortunately, the pictures that I'm posting are very few and a very poor visual reminder of what happened since most pictures weren't taken with this camera. I'll have to remember to bug Eryl about grabbing those pictures from her camera. Maybe I'll bug everyone else too, hehe.

Righty-o. So these first pictures are of the flowers that Devan gave me for my birthday. Aren't the beautiful?? So big too. Unfortunately, because of the weather here and my usage of the air conditioner which resulted in a back and forth of hot and cold air, these lilies died fairly soon. But they did leave my room smelling WONDERFUL! Hehe.

(curtains closed in the morning)

(curtains opened in the morning; what a difference eh?)

After the morning, we went out for sushi and ate until 3. Hehe, we sorta skimmed on dinner. However, around 6:30 we did go to Partyworld, a karaoke place that had a buffet dinner. This is Devan. I can't remember when this picture was taken. Probably right before we left campus since I see a little bit of light in the background. This is what I get for publishing this blog now instead of closer to when this all happened. Ahhh, my memory.

More stuff

Wow, that last paragraph got butchered by formating, anywho. here's the mouse and Mp3 player I got, the Mp3 also came with a rubber cover, but I took it off for the sake of the photo, and it came with a nifty pouch to put it in. and there is yonder mouse. Again, nothing too special. also have some garbage in the background and a yuan.... yea.

Picture of me and Cynthia at sushi, pretty good stuff there. but there's an all you can eat place that costs more, but you can get a lot more sushi for your dollar.

Last photo is just to show what kind of sty I'm living in right now. Yes, I'll get around to cleaning it. especially when I have to move out of there fairly soon.

Trip to the Electronic store.

So once again I head to the Electronic store, but this time I had purchases in mind. noting to big, not a computer that's for sure. Today was all about finding a corded mouse (blasted batteries) and an MP3 player.

Here's a picture of the outside of the building, not all that great, was taken as we were walking out of the place really.

The outside seems dull, but inside was where all the goodies are at, obviously. just a few pictures of what's inside this place in case anyone was wondering. This trip I went with Cynthia, just for something to do, and we wanted to go out for sushi afterwards, and it's very close to this place.

I did pick up a cheap ~75$ CAD MP3, 1gig size, with mini SD card expansion. So far it's really good, It can play videos too, it can play DivX, Xvid, encoded files and rmvb files. so I can watch pretty big shows on it too. Also got a regular corded optical mouse, black, nothing else too special about it.
