1. Somewhat unorthodox start to the blog, I know, but I just thought it was really cool that they have a specialty disposal canister specifically for batteries. I thought that was darn economical of them, so I took a picture.
2. Us gathering up for our morning excursion into the campus.
3. A fire hydrant specimen. I'm surprised they're so low. I guess it never gets cold enough to snow here.
4. An amphitheatre-like area with a little body of water down below.
5. David, Cynthia and Devan standing by the watery area.
6. One of the many engraved stones here in Hangzhou.
7: A building with its side completely covered by greenery.
8: A uniformed guard guarding. There are lots of these guys around here.
9: A nice path with a gully lining the right side.
10: Bamboo trees... or plants, I forget which.
11: The science and technology building inside the campus.
12: The "College of Computing Science" sign. Glad they spelled everything right, that would have been a blight on the place.
13: Bicycle seat. No comment.
14: A nice restaurant we found outside campus. Cynthia insisted I get her in front of it.
15: The bus stops here are cool. Seen in this picture are one of the TVs that eternally runs advertisements (there's also one of those next to both elevators on the ground floor here in the dorms) and some guy staring at me taking the picture.
16: A kickass toy store.
17: A magazine store.
18: This is the main entrance into the campus. Both the toy and magazine stores are right behind me.
19: All of us heading out once again to go to the bank. Xie and Lu Laoshi are visible on the right side. Lu Laoshi is in charge of the international students and his office is in the building right next to ours so we can go to him with any concerns.
20: One of the side-gates.
21: The guard for this gate. There are guards like this (with their desks pulled out into the street) at each of the three entrances.
